Nesta segunda-feira (23/05) a família “fusqueira” teve uma grande perda. Jesse Koz, dono do Fusca Dodongo, e seu cão Shurastey, um Golden Retriever, sofreram um acidente nas proximidades da cidade de Portland (EUA). Segundo informações do site R7 Entretenimento, o influenciador brasileiro tentou desviar de um engarrafamento. Contudo, Jesse perdeu o controle do automóvel, batendo assim de frente com outro veículo na pista contrária.
Jesse e Shurastey ficaram conhecidos por realizar viagens em vários países dentro do Fusca 1978 Dodongo. No momento do acidente, eles estavam a caminho do Alasca, destino final dessa viagem.
Nascido em Santa Catarina, Jesse viajava com o seu Fusca e seu cão desde 2017, quando decidiu largar tudo e “pegar estrada” juntos com os seus dois melhores amigos, Shurastey e Dodongo. O ponto de partida dessa viagem foi em Balneário Camboriú com o objetivo de chegar ao Alasca, estado norte-americano. Atravessando assim um total de 16 países.
A viagem era um sonho e projeto do influenciador, que batizou como Shurastey or Shuraigow. O nome foi escolhido por conta da música “Should I Stay or Should I Go”, que em português tem o significado de “Devo Ficar ou Devo Ir”, da banda inglesa The Clash.

O influenciador compartilhava, além do seu canal no YouTube, o seu dia a dia no Instagram, onde tinha mais de 300 mil seguidores. Mostrando assim sua rotina diária junto com Shurastey. A última publicação de Jesse foi nas proximidades da Golden Gate, ponte e cartão-postal de São Francisco, cidade da Califórnia.
Familiares e amigos do influenciador catarinense, criaram uma campanha na internet para arrecadar dinheiro para o translado do corpo de Jesse e as cinzas de Shurastey. Campanha essa que conseguiu cerca de R$120 mil.
Por conta de problemas burocráticos em relação a documentação, o translado poderá chegar ao Brasil dentro de 30 dias, para que amigos e parentes possam se despedir de Jesse e seu fiel amigo.
